I never watched this show when it first came on, but heard several people describe it as addicting. They are right. I just happened to catch the first episode recently on late night weekend TV and couldn't stop watching, from the very first scene all the way through to the end. But once I find something I like, I don't want to wait around a week for the next episode. So, time to binge-watch the DVD. Full of rapid-fire dialogue, I keep subtitles on. And still have the need to rewind from time to time. Can't say the basic premise is believable: a conservative Republican President has an affair with a black woman, his chief-of-staff is secretly gay, and [SPOILER ALERT] the election vote is rigged in Ohio (well, yes, I can believe that last one). But the story line arcs are well thought out and the performances are as good as any. It is a fun and enjoyable ride through this opening season. And, keep in mind, Olivia is based on an actual person who works in "damage control." Something to think about.
