Fans of the popular “Dinosaur Vs” picture books will know that Dinosaur is a very energetic, rambunctious youngster. (In “Dinosaur vs The Library”, he makes a noisy visit to the public library, while “Dinosaur vs School” features Dinosaur’s exuberant preschool debut.) In the newest episode, “Dinosaur vs Santa”, Dinosaur is preparing for Christmas. There’s lots to do at this time of year, from writing a letter to Santa to making presents for the family and helping to decorate the Christmas tree. Dinosaur is also trying his best to be extra good. However, on Christmas Eve, Dinosaur can’t sleep, and eventually he does something that no dinosaur should ever do. He gets up, sneaks downstairs and lies in wait for Santa! When he sees the jolly man in the red suit, he flees back to bed in panic. Did Santa see him? Will he be added to his Naughty List? Will Santa take back all the presents? All ends happily in this laughable, colourful holiday read-aloud. As in the other Dinosaur Vs stories, preschoolers will enjoy chiming in with the continual dinosaur roars. Parents, on the other hand, will enjoy the all-too accurate depiction of typical preschool behavior!
