Overall the book was pretty good and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Now I would like to continue my review of this book but it won’t make too much sense unless I explain how I found the series. So I found this series while I was looking through the “Recently Reviewed” section, when I came across a GREAT rating on the book Avenger which just so happens to be the 3rd book in this series. My mouse arrow hovered above the “place on hold” button when I noticed that it was the 3rd book in a series and thought ‘there is no way I will understand what is going on if I start reading the end of the series.’ And for that reason alone, I searched for the book Halflings. And what do I find?! These comments and reviews posted. Nothing says, READ ME like a bunch of low rates and reviews. But I was determined to read the 3rd book so I put Halflings on hold. And now that I have explained, I can continue. While I enjoyed reading this book overall and loved the ending, much of it was slow and hard to finish in a timely manner. Well not exactly SLOW but it just lacked a lot action. Due to my determination to read the 3rd book, I pushed through the slow parts and managed to finish the book in less than a week. Now I am quite happy to have finished and can’t wait to read what happens next. So, what am I trying to prove? Well, first I am recommending the book. Lol and second if I were you I would advise you to take a look at the 3rd book’s reviews and ratings and see if a bit of determination is worth finding out what happens and how everything works out in the 3rd book. Of course don’t read too much about the 3rd book first just in case it spoils/mentions/concludes something that happens in the earlier books. I hope you read the book or at least understand my comment and rating reasoning. Also, I’m sorry that this is so long.
