In my opinion, Mockingjay was really good and was my second favourite book of the series. I think there could've been more action and a little less teenage girl drama, but it did add some real life characteristics to Katniss and her life. I really liked the plot twist at the end as it kept me hanging on every word. When Prim died I was really shocked and it caught me off guard, which is why it was a very good book with lots of twists and turns. Overall, I really liked Mockingjay and would recommend the whole series.

*extremely minor spoiler alert*
I definitely enjoyed the first two books, but the third was... Interesting. Certainly not what I expected, and not necessarily in a good way. Ms. Collins built so much excitement for the third book, and after Catching Fire, I was hoping Mockingjay would go out with a bang. Not so. Instead of continuing with its gripping plot and nail-biting battle scenes, Mockingjay is at least 70% drama and love triangle, with a few fight scenes hastily slapped together and inserted in random places that hardly moved the story forward at all. The ending was extremely disappointing as well. I sincerely wish that Ms. Collins had made this book a little more action packed, and a little less teenage drama.
In spite of its flaws, Mockingjay had me sucked in. I couldn't put the book down, and I must admit, Ms. Collins knows how to write a whopper of a romance. Katniss's "mental disorientation", Peeta's issues, and Gale's moral erosion gnawed at me throughout the book. Certainly not a light read, and the ending seems empty and unfulfilling, but overall, Ms. Collins wrote an amazing series.
I only wish it went out with the same bang and interest it entered with.

I mean, based on all the books I've ever read this is pretty good. Though some things ate just so not right. Poor every one that died. It's heart breaking. I'd been waiting for this book for so long and it didn't end right. I am NOT saying it isn't a good book. Collins is an amazing author and I don't see how she dose it, but I still have to say it did NOT end right. I still wonder a bit on what might happen. It is wonderful and you should expect it to go too fast and you are going to cry buckets! And more buckets still. What are you waiting for? Put a hold on it. -RAVEN

I cannot say enough about the last book in the Hunger Games trilogy. I literally sat on my couch for three days and did nothing else while I read this series! I felt like this was a really great wrap-up, even though there were some really heart-wrenching, heart-breaking moments (Finnik?!!! Come on!) Lots of people found this book to be boring and slow but I really did not think so at all!

The series were amazing. I think this was a great way to end the series, especially since there are a lot of books that have sad endings. I am glad that the main character didn't die. i have read loads of books when they do, or one of the important characters die. I almost cried with relief when Gale left. The hunger games has a lot of sad deaths, but none that I really had to cry over. The 3rd book wasn't as interesting as the first two, for they had more excitement than the 3rd one did. This one had little action, which was kind of boring.

Despite not liking it as much as Catching Fire, I still immensely enjoyed this trilogy conclusion. It was riveting, shocking, painful, harrowing, desperate, and insightful, and I couldn't put it down.

But one day I'll have to explain about my nightmares. Why they came. Why they won't ever really go away. I'll tell them how I survive it. I'll tell them that on bad mornings, it feels impossible to take pleasure in anything because I'm afraid it could be taken away. That's when I make a list in my head of every act of goodness I've seen someone do. It's like a game. Repetitive. Even a little tedious after more than twenty years. But there are much worse games to play. - Page 390

I no longer feel any allegiance to these monsters called human beings, despise being one myself. I think that Peeta was onto something about us destroying one another and letting some decent species take over. Because something is significantly wrong with a creature that sacrifices its children's lives to settle its differences. You can spin it any way you like. Snow thought the Hunger Games were an efficient means of control. Coin thought the parachutes would expedite the war. But in the end, who does it benefit? No one. The truth is, it benefits no one to live a world where these things happen. - Page 377
