This particular printing of the book lacked page 200 - not 199 and 200, just 200, after page 199 the next page was not printed. Nonetheless, it was a very pleasant and enjoyable collection of stories ("true stories" as claimed by the author) about animals. They may have been intended as children's stories, but I found them so delightful that anyone of any age can enjoy them and learn to observe wild (or even semi-wild) animals in a new and more respectful way.

I read these deceptively simple tales as a child and they still move me with their humanity and love for our fellow creatures.
