The third in the series. Also very good but dark. One of the main themes in the series is that brides are captured and forced to marry their captors. In all the books, the marriage ends up being good, but as a feminist I am worried that this message is normalizing practices like marital rape and psychological phenomenon like stockholm syndrome. There are many places in the world where women are forced to marry men they do not choose, and this has many horrible consequences, none of which this series really addresses.
I love this book! I usually don't like books further into a series as much as the first one but this is a true rival! I just love how Nir is so blase in delivery but exacting in his words. Mira is just ridiculous sometimes but that makes Nir so much more . . . hot.
