As adorable as she is ambitious, Kate is determined to turn her mid-level advertising job into an executive position and equally determined to snare Sam, the agency's ultra-suave Romeo who prefers illicit affairs with attached women. She achieves both goals by pretending she's getting married to Nick, a man she met at a wedding and barely knows. But her carefully constructed fictional life comes face to face with reality when her boss wants to meet Nick, sending Kate's personal and professional worlds spinning out of control.

There's something very nineties about this film, with an innocence and kindness to it. It is the typical romantic comedy but with a bit of a more cynical edge. I'm not a big fan of Jennifer Aniston and her filmography in general (everything but FRIENDS, frankly), but I do like Jay Mohr and Kevin Bacon who add their own little brand of charm to this otherwise middle-of-the-road flick. What can I say? I like what I like. For anyone who can tolerate the rom-com genre, I recommend it.
