Liberté, égalité, fraternité (..wrinkle in time was originally written in French by Gayle King.)
I enjoyed watching this movie. I usually watch the extras and deleted segments first. It gave me more of a background for the movie. I like Chris Potter and looking forward to seeing him in this movie...unfortunately... most of his work was left on the cutting room floor. I have not read the book, but did enjoy what Disney did with the film. I look forward to seeing the new production.
FYI this is NOT the 2018 cinematic version with Oprah Winfrey.
THIS COMES OUT ON MY BIRTHDAY!
This film made a valiant effort with a decent cast but, unfortunately, the producers were not interested in ponying up the money to full justice to the book.
Ava Duvernay seems to have so much hate in her that I can't say I expect her upcoming version to be very good. I hope I'm wrong.
I didn't find this Canadian treatment of a beloved book very satisfying. It's at least 30' too long, and those 30' go to overblown, not-very-faithful workings-out of the plot. There is a new version coming out soon. Let's hope for better.
If you watch this as just and entertaining movie, it is slow at times but fairly decent. As an adaptation of the book it's quite lousy.
verrrrry slow moving.
Overly long, poor GC effects, and the story itself isn't that good
I think this version (the only one) is already dated with the computer graphics they used. It is also a serious let down since they definitely should have put more money into the production. Overall, I think kids might still enjoy watching the book come to life. As an adult, I appreciated the bonus footage with an interview of the author.
