Despite the appearance of some of my favorite First Nation actors, this film seemed rather mediocre to me. I found the feud between Johnny Three Bears and Adam Beach's character interesting at first but their feud became a bore as the film progressed. Johnny Three Bear's poor attitude also got on my nerves, and the acting overall seemed washed-out to me. It's still a good film to watch if you want to see, to name a few, Adam Beach, Graham Greene, etc but its not a film that will snare and enthrall you like "Smoke Signals" or "Dances with Wolves" did for me.
