His mother, Sandy sharpens her tongue with sarcasm and dulls her senses with pot while struggling hard to conceal a secret that threatens to ruin them all. Nice to see Sigourney Weaver in an indie film. This is the story of a family with serious problems. It seems to have some wandering parts and/or characters that don't fit.

It's worth a look to see Sigourney and Jeff Daniels playing characters that are more mixed up than you would want to be.

i don't have family/children but from what i see/hear/experience i beleive this is representative of much of 24/7 planet earth. everyone's busy and no one really know's what is going on until either it's too late or caught in the nick of time. kind of makes you wonder about those growing up around you or reflect in my case. i beleive if you spend time w/your family from the begining it becomes a comfortable routine and thus a corner stone of their life.
