Trafficked is a very intriguing book that will have you sucked into the story right away. It is about a 17 year old girl, who is illegally immigrating to the United States for a job, that seems very promising, but when Hannah arrives, she learns it was all a lie. Kim Purcell has written very well developed characters, especially the villain of the story; the way the character is written is sure to make you feel anger towards her. Hannah, the main character, also pulls at your heartstrings, her emotions raw and pure, really making you feel for her and want the best for her. Overall, this novel invokes strong emotions towards the characters, has an amazing plot and is raising awareness of a very real issue, being human trafficking.

I thought this book was great. I was enthralled right from the get go. For those out there who like to read non-fiction human trafficking books, this is a nice change and a great fiction title that brings awareness to the troubling epidemic of human trafficking, especially in developed nations.

This was an absolutely well-written debut novel. Kim Purcell, the author of the book, visited my school to talk about human trafficking and her book. It was so inspiring to know that she wrote a book as a way to show the world what this huge problem was. Stayed up reading this book until 2 in the morning last time. I don't regret it!
