Comment
Add a CommentRunning On Empty is an alright book, even though I found the protagonist to be quite unrelatable and a little dislikable for the book’s majority. I do like though, how it focuses on how someone would react if a dream they had been working toward for years slipped through their fingers at the last possible moment, and what – usually rash – decisions they would make to try and fix that sudden setback. It also focuses on how those setbacks and decisions would affect those around them, like family, friends, and teachers. The main character comes off as a tormenter to nearly everyone for the most part though, which is why I cannot give this book more than a 3.5 out of 5. If you’re interested, check it out.

I thought that this book was very well done, and did a good job of addressing some teen issues, but I just wasn't my cup of tea.
This book had a good plot and really addressed some issues with teens today. It teaches you a lesson and makes the characters feel real.
This book left me slightly disapointed because I knew a friend who really enjoyed it but I didn't find it really stood out. I did like the main idea and the plot.
This book was very well done. it really teaches you not to get wrapped up in money and stuff you want, but to care for the people you love while you can.
Running on empty is a very interesting and suspenseful novel. It's refreshing to see that it adresses important issues such as gambling and addiction. The characters experience typical teen drama and that's what help make them feel so real.
