This story starts out ugly and then gets uglier, because it’s about an utterly heinous crime - human trafficking, more succinctly, slavery.
As in his other books, the physical daring-do by the protagonist is quite unrealistic and at times…

Another excellent book from David Baldacci. John Puller is his best character. The only weakness is that some of the situations he escapes from so miraculously are prepostreous, and require you to suspend belief. It also a bit…

This is my 3rd David Baldacci book, and my first Puller book (I assume it's a series). I enjoyed it, but I find it quite funny that because they are military and have weapons that they can take the law into their own hands (and the cops…

My first Baldacci read ever and this book was great as a stand alone. I was hooked from the start and really enjoyed reading agent Puller kicking ass. I enjoyed the different POV and was not able to fully predict the ending.

I read this before I read Zero Day and enjoyed how John Puller operated. His relationship with his father is a difficult one and his aunt is another interesting character in a highly intelligent and enterprising family.

Maybe it was just me, but I had a problem with this story. I usually like David Baldacci's stories, I found that .half way through the book I still couldn't find the plot. As I said, maybe it was just me.

My husband and I listened to this on our way to Montana and back, we loved it! I listen to a lot of audiobooks and found it kind of funny that there were sound effects throughout- however - the story kept us on the edge of our seats and…

It was like reading an Jack Reacher adventure from Lee Child.
It was a good story. I enjoyed it very much but Baldacci could have named his character Jack and it would have fit very well.
